Dual Diagnosis Program (Mental Health Substance Use Disorder)

Our dual diagnosis program is an inpatient treatment program for adults ages 18 and older who suffer from a co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorder. Our program is deeply embedded in Alcoholics Anonymous’ 12-step recovery program and includes weekly meetings on-site. Our staff carefully designs and coordinates care to ensure maximal success while addressing the attendant mental health issues that often complicate early recovery. Patients are taught relapse prevention and coping strategies to ensure patients return to a desired level of functioning and maintain sobriety with the knowledge and skills to live a healthy lifestyle.

The dual diagnosis program treatment philosophy is based on the understanding that mental health co-occurring with substance abuse requires a specialized team approach with a caring, positive attitude in which all patients are treated with dignity and respect. Each patient will have an individualized treatment plan and will work with our trained professionals who have experience in the field, including a clinical director, psychiatrists, registered nurses, mental health therapists/social workers, certified addictions specialist, recreational therapists and mental health technicians.

The inpatient level of care provides 24-hour medical supervision to help individuals detox from substance use. Once stabilized, patients can begin group therapy to help them understand and overcome behavioral health issues. Our primary goal is to provide patients with the necessary skills to help improve overall functioning and achieve lasting health and wellness.
