Central
Florida Behavioral Hospital has become a leader in
solutions for at-risk youth by providing cost-effective,
high quality education and treatment services in a
structured, nurturing, and least restrictive environment
possible. Central Florida Behavioral Hospital
provides the foundation and proven treatment modalities
for children and adolescents. The child & adolescent
inpatient program treats patients ages 5 to 17 years old
with mental health and substance abuse issues.
The purpose of the Child & Adolescent Inpatient Program
is to help with psychiatric problems, remain safe,
reduce symptoms, and improve functioning. Specifically
to:
-
Reduce thoughts and behaviors that pose a danger to
the individual or others.
-
Reduce severe symptoms associated with depression,
substance abuse, psychosis, and other disorders.
-
Improve functioning in home, school, and the
community.
-
Stabilize safety to progress to a lower level of
care.
Central Florida Behavioral Hospital understands that
each patient is an individual and therefore requires an
individualized treatment plan and services that are
structured to provide an all-encompassing continuum of
care. The patient, family, and/or referring health
professionals are integral parts of our comprehensive
treatment planning. Upon admission and throughout
treatment, individual strengths and weaknesses are
assessed and integrated in the overall treatment plan.
